Head of Sales Strategy
Leeds | Office Based
£50,000 - £60,000 Basic (£100K-£120K OTE)
A strategic sales role with the opportunity to shape the next phase of growth.
This is not a traditional Head of Sales role.
We’re looking for a commercially minded sales leader who loves getting under the skin of the numbers, understanding what is driving sales today and identifying where the next level of growth can come from.
You’ll be joining a highly successful, entrepreneurial B2C business that has experienced significant growth over the last decade and is now embarking on an ambitious expansion programme. This is a key role in that journey.
The ambition is significant, and we’re looking for someone who can help build the sales strategy, processes and infrastructure needed to support the next phase of growth.
What will you be doing?
You’ll take a strategic view of the entire sales operation, analysing where customers are coming from, how different channels are performing and where there are opportunities to unlock additional growth.
You’ll be looking at questions such as:
- Which sales channels are delivering the strongest results?
- Where are there untapped opportunities?
- What does the customer journey look like from enquiry through to sale?
- Where can processes be improved to increase conversion?
- What new sales routes could be developed?
- What is the data telling us about where future growth will come from?

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You’ll then turn those insights into action.
This means designing and improving sales processes, developing new routes to market, introducing operational change and making sure the business has the right sales infrastructure to achieve its ambitious growth plans.
In many ways, you’ll act as the architect of the sales operation — understanding how all the different elements fit together and designing the strategy to deliver the best possible results.
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone who has already operated at a senior level within a scaling B2C, ecommerce or online services business.
You’ll need a strong commercial and analytical mindset, with a track record of using data to influence sales strategy and drive meaningful growth.
You might come from a traditional sales leadership background, but your experience will need to go beyond simply managing a sales team. We want someone who understands the wider sales operation and can demonstrate how they have used data, processes and strategy to significantly increase revenue.
You’ll be someone who:
- Has helped scale sales by tens of millions of pounds
- Has worked in a fast-growth B2C, ecommerce or online services environment
- Uses data and insight to make strategic sales decisions
- Understands different customer acquisition channels and how to optimise them
- Can identify new routes to market and untapped opportunities
- Is commercially creative but equally strong at implementing ideas
- Enjoys getting into the detail of processes, systems and operational performance
- Has a hands-on sales background and understands what great sales execution looks like
