What you would do as our Head of Sales - Traditional Retail, Ecommerce and Partnerships:
You will be responsible for delivering growth across all accounts within the E-Commerce Pure player space, Electrical (such as Argos/Currys/John Lewis), Grocery (such as Costco and Tesco) and Partnerships. You will also lead a team to deliver FP and collaborate with the wider Residential teams to help deliver across the segment.
Main responsibilities and duties are to:
- Provide a strong and positive contribution to the strategy and policies for the company.
- Deliver incremental revenue and margins within the Yale Retail BU (excl. DIY and Trade).
- Promote sales and market share growth through all targeted accounts with the ASSA ABLOY product range - with primary focus upon Yale.
- Manage a national sales team.
- Drive and inspire the introduction of new products to the market.
- Instil a high-performance culture within the organisation.
- Consistently protect and promote the Yale brand.
- Identify, develop and direct the implementation of the sales strategy for Yale UK Retail channel in line with the organisational strategy.
- Identify key commercial activities and ensure successful implementation throughout the business.
- Plan and direct the marketing and sales activities to achieve agreed financial targets and standards for the business.
- Develop clear, creative and positive responses to competitive pressures and implement them through a national sales force.
- Work closely with product leads to determine product ranges and pricing models in response to market demand.
- Set targets that ensure the right actions are taken by the sales teams across all channels.
- Measure performance against targets and communicating the results in a way that leads to superior performance.
- Lead in the creation of a best practice culture throughout the sales teams.
- Have an active role in developing appropriate sales techniques and material to support the sales team and ensure that all marketing and PR are aligned.
- Recruit, select, develop and retain a successful sales team to ensure a high performing sales function.
- Ensure sales efforts are properly balanced across all product groups.
- Work collaboratively with all other Residential BU’s and Commercial teams as necessary.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Clear demonstration of strong sales team management including a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and budgets.
- Previous experience of working in a Retail Consumer Channel environment.
- Proven track record of new business acquisition.
- The ability to positively influence others.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- The ability to successfully work to very tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills.
- Relationships with customers within the Retail Channel.
