Head of Sales - UK

Established for more than 30 years, our client is a trusted technology and data partner to organisations across the public sector. They provide a suite of data and software solutions that help customers manage complex information, improve decision-making and generate high-quality insights.

Working with a diverse client base spanning local authorities, housing associations, charities and wider public sector organisations, the business plays an important role in helping customers make better use of their data and deliver greater value to the communities they serve.

The business is now seeking an ambitious Head of Sales to lead and develop an established sales function, with responsibility for a team of five direct reports. This is a highly visible leadership position, offering the opportunity to shape sales strategy, strengthen performance and build on the success of an already established team.

This is a remote opportunity for candidates based in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Manage & coach the existing Sales Team – inclusive of 5x Account Managers (covering both new business & renewals)
  • Support team on public sector sales, providing insights, best practices, technical insights into dealing with public sector clients
  • Develop & execute sales strategy across the department, aligning strategy with company goals
  • Own the full sales pipeline, forecasting and revenue targets across the team
  • Implement effective CRM strategies across the team, driving efficiency and pipeline visibility
  • Build & maintain own relationships with key public sector customers; supporting sales team members in closing deals and expanding accounts when required
  • Set team targets & incentives
  • Support on delivery of high-quality presentations to prospective public sector clients
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends & competitor activity

The Successful Candidate

  • Strong track record of SaaS / software sales leadership, specifically for products being sold into public sector organisations
  • Experience coaching new business teams & driving new business sales
  • Understand the inner workings & technical aspects of working with public sector clients
  • Based in the UK

Head of Sales Package

  • Basic salary: £75,000-80,000
  • OTE: +£45,000
