A highly reputable Waste Management business is looking to appoint a Sales leader as a key move to unlocking growth. This business has been established with a solid reputation for excellent client service standards for over 20 years.

The Role

As our Head of Sales, you will transition our sales division from a transactional model to a high-value consultative powerhouse. You will directly manage a team of Business Development Managers, optimize our sales pipeline, and personally secure major multi-site accounts across key growth sectors including corporate property, hospitality, and healthcare.

Reporting into the Managing Director, you will:

  • Lead & Scale: Inspire, mentor, and accountability-manage a regional team of corporate sales professionals to exceed gross margin targets.
  • Target High-Growth Markets: Define and execute a data-driven outreach strategy targeting sectors heavily impacted by mandated multi-stream recycling regulations.
  • Unlock Major Accounts: Secure profitable, long-term corporate contracts with multi-site facilities management firms, manufacturing, retail logistics hubs, and large hospitality brands.
  • Future-Proof the Pipeline: Pivot our value proposition to focus on digital readiness, helping clients navigate upcoming Mandatory Digital Waste Tracking requirements.
  • Collaborate closely: Work alongside our compliance and logistics teams to ensure won accounts match our carrier capabilities and legal requirements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
