Location: Singapore | Permanent | Senior Academic Leadership

Our client is a leading international university with an established presence in Singapore, seeking an accomplished academic leader to lead its School of Computer Science & Technology through its next phase of growth and development.

This is a strategic leadership opportunity for an experienced Head of School, Head of Department, Associate Dean or senior academic leader with a strong background in technology and a passion for shaping future-ready education.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will provide strategic and academic leadership across a multidisciplinary portfolio spanning areas such as:

  • Information Technology and Computer Science
  • Artificial Intelligence and Digitalisation
  • Data Science
  • Cybersecurity
  • Environmental Science

You will lead academic quality, programme development, research, faculty development and industry engagement while ensuring programmes remain relevant to evolving industry needs and global technology trends.

The role offers the opportunity to shape the School's academic direction, strengthen its regional profile and build meaningful partnerships across industry, government and professional bodies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for the School's undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
  • Lead, mentor and develop academic and administrative teams, fostering a high-performance academic culture.
  • Drive curriculum innovation and ensure programmes remain aligned with industry requirements, emerging technologies and future workforce needs.
  • Strengthen research activity, research collaboration and grant development across the School.
  • Build partnerships with industry, professional bodies, government and other external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to student recruitment, retention, graduate employability and overall student success.
  • Represent the School locally and internationally, raising its academic profile and reputation.
  • Ensure academic programmes meet relevant university, professional accreditation and regulatory requirements.
  • Champion interdisciplinary collaboration across technology, science, environment and data-driven disciplines.
  • Contribute to teaching and maintain strong academic engagement with students and faculty.

About You

We are looking for an accomplished academic leader who combines academic credibility with strong organisational, people and external stakeholder leadership.

You will ideally bring:

  • A PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, AI, Cybersecurity, Engineering or a closely related technology discipline.
  • Significant experience in higher education, including leadership at School, Faculty, Department or equivalent level.
  • Demonstrated experience managing academic teams and leading through organisational or academic transformation.
  • Strong knowledge of undergraduate and postgraduate programme development, academic governance and accreditation.
  • A strong record in teaching, curriculum development and academic administration.
  • Demonstrated research achievement and/or research leadership, including experience supporting grant activity.
  • Experience building meaningful relationships with industry, government or professional bodies.
  • Strong understanding of emerging technology trends and their implications for higher education.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to operate effectively within a diverse, multicultural and international academic environment.
