Head of Secondaries
London
We’ve been instructed by a transactional risk broking practice with global reach in their search for a Head of Secondaries. With secondaries deal volume at record levels and insurance increasingly central to how GP-led and LP-led deals get done, they are looking to appoint a Head of Secondaries to build and lead their secondaries proposition.
This is a genuine, ground-up leadership opportunity. You will own the strategy, origination and execution of the secondaries offering, backed by an established broking platform with global reach and the mandate to build a team around you as the proposition grows.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
- Lead the structuring and placement of W&I and related risk across secondaries transactions — from single-asset and multi-asset GP-led continuation funds to LP-led portfolio sales and clean wind-up/warranty-replacement structures
- Work closely with GPs, LPs, secondary buyers, fund counsel, and clean teams to bridge negotiation gaps and accelerate distributions to LPs
- Build the firm's secondaries client base and broker network, domestically and internationally
- Act as the senior authority internally on secondaries-specific underwriting, diligence scope, and conflict management
We're keen to speak with senior professionals with strong experience of, and an established network within, the secondaries market — whether from transactional risk broking or underwriting, private equity secondaries advisory, fund/placement agency, or a relevant legal background — who have the credibility and relationships to build and lead a proposition from the front.
