Head of Security Architecture - salary to be discussed

UK-based | Home Based Role with Travel as and when required | SC Clearance Required

An established organisation operating within the critical infrastructure sector is looking for a Head of Security Architecture to lead and develop its Security Architecture practice.

This is a senior, highly influential role where you'll combine technical leadership, enterprise security architecture and strategic direction, helping shape how security is designed and delivered across a complex IT and OT environment.

The Opportunity

  • You'll lead the Security Architecture strategy and roadmap, acting as the technical authority for major transformation and digital programmes.
  • A key focus will be embedding Secure by Design across technology change, ensuring security is considered from architecture through to delivery.
  • You'll have the opportunity to influence a range of exciting areas including multi-cloud, DevSecOps, Zero Trust, secure networking and identity, OT security and emerging AI technologies.
  • You'll also lead and develop a high-performing architecture team, working closely with senior technology, business and security stakeholders to influence decisions and drive meaningful change.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a technically credible security architecture leader with:

  • Strong enterprise security architecture experience within a complex organisation.
  • Experience across modern cloud and security technologies, with a strong understanding of secure design and architecture.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to influence senior technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience working within a regulated or critical infrastructure environment is highly desirable.
  • An understanding of OT/industrial security and the challenges of securing operational environments.
  • A proactive, delivery-focused mindset with the ability to operate autonomously and navigate ambiguity.
