The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Site Operations to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across designated hospital sites in Nottingham. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior operational leader to play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, efficient and effective delivery of hospital services. Working in partnership with executive directors, clinical leaders, divisional management teams and corporate services, you will drive operational performance, improve patient flow, strengthen service resilience and deliver sustainable service improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic and operational leadership: Translate organisational priorities into effective operational plans, provide senior leadership advice and coordinate the delivery of high-quality hospital services.
  • Site management and resilience: Oversee operational pressures, capacity and demand, patient flow, bed utilisation, discharge coordination and escalation arrangements.
  • Performance and improvement: Drive performance against key targets, analyse operational data, implement recovery plans and lead initiatives that improve productivity, efficiency and patient experience.
  • Financial and resource management: Oversee delegated budgets, contribute to financial planning, support cost improvement programmes and ensure the effective deployment of workforce and other resources.

  • Workforce leadership: Provide visible, inclusive and compassionate leadership to operational managers and multidisciplinary teams, supporting workforce planning, staff engagement and leadership development.
  • Partnership working: Build strong relationships with executive and clinical leaders, internal departments and external health and social care partners to resolve complex operational challenges.
  • Estates and infrastructure: Where applicable, work with estates and facilities teams to maintain safe, functional and resilient hospital environments.
  • Reporting and assurance: Produce high-quality operational reports, performance analyses and business cases to support effective decision-making at senior and executive level.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
