About the Role

Reporting into the Brand Marketing Director, the Head of Social will be responsible for defining and driving TALA’s organic social strategy and growth agenda across our key social channels.

You will lead our social team, setting the strategic direction, identifying opportunities for growth and ensuring our social channels build brand awareness, cultural relevance, community and channel growth. You will balance creativity with data and commercial thinking, ensuring we are not just creating content, but building a social presence that drives the business forward.

You will work closely with Brand, Creative, Performance, Influencer, PR, Product and Ecommerce teams, ensuring social is connected to the wider marketing strategy and that TALA continues to be ahead of the conversation.

We’re looking for a strategic thinker who is equally comfortable setting the direction, managing a team and getting into the details when needed.

Tasks

Day to day this looks like:

  • Social Strategy: Own and evolve TALA’s organic social strategy across Instagram and TikTok, with oversight of Pinterest and LinkedIn, setting clear objectives, channel roles, audiences, content pillars and KPIs.
  • Growth Strategy: Identify opportunities to grow TALA’s social audience, reach and relevance, developing strategies to increase awareness, engagement and community.
  • Planning & Prioritisation: Own the social planning process and ensure the calendar is driven by clear business, brand, product and customer priorities. Make clear recommendations on where the team should focus time, resources and investment.
  • Content Strategy: Set the strategic direction for the content we create, identifying the formats, stories, behaviours and cultural moments that will help TALA grow. Provide clear strategic direction and briefs to the content creators within the team, ensuring content is distinctive, relevant, engaging and effective against our KPIs.
  • Engineer Virality: Think beyond existing content formats to identify opportunities to create stop-and-look moments that capture attention and drive conversation. Challenge the team to think differently about how we execute ideas, finding unexpected, culturally relevant and creatively disruptive ways to make TALA stand out and content travel.
  • Trend & Culture: Stay ahead of social, cultural and platform trends, identifying opportunities for TALA to participate in the conversation in a way that feels authentic to the brand and has the potential to drive meaningful reach and growth.
  • Campaign Strategy: Partner with the Marketing team and Creative Director on campaign strategy, ensuring social plays a clear role in building awareness, excitement and cultural relevance. Develop channel strategies and rollout plans for key campaigns and launches.
  • Insights & Analytics: Own the analysis of social performance, customer behaviour and competitor activity. Turn data into clear insights and recommendations, using performance to continuously improve our strategy.
  • Test & Learn: Develop a test-and-learn approach across social, identifying new formats, platforms, creators and ways of working. Test, learn and scale what works.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, develop and inspire the social and content creation team, setting clear objectives, ways of working and standards. Ensure the team understands not just what they are creating, but why and what it needs to achieve.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Brand, Creative, Performance, PR, Influencer, Product and Ecommerce to ensure social is fully integrated into the wider marketing and commercial strategy.
  • Channel Health: Oversee the overall health and performance of TALA’s social channels, ensuring content is consistent, on-brand and delivering against agreed objectives. You will provide strategic direction while empowering the team to own day-to-day execution.
  • Reporting: Own weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting against social KPIs, going beyond performance reporting to provide clear insights, recommendations and actions for the wider business.
  • Key collaboration: Partner with the Head of Performance Marketing to create a boosting strategy
  • Social Innovation: Keep TALA ahead of how social is evolving, from new platforms and formats to creators, communities and emerging behaviours, ensuring we continue to find new ways to grow our audience.
  • Governance: Partner and align with the Creative Director on the visual representation of BAU, drops and campaign assets.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
