ROLE SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Head of Social and Digital Engagement to join us, starting in November 2026. This is a 12 month fixed-term maternity cover in a fast-growing area of the business with huge potential. This role will be responsible for driving and implementing the paid and organic social and content marketing campaigns across all regions globally, including new school openings (online and physical).
The Head of Social and Digital Engagement will lead our internal social team and drive an in-house organic social transition. This role will focus on delivering brand awareness, high engagement, enrolment, and retention activity. This will involve driving the overarching planning, implementation, and optimisation of Inspired’s owned channels, as well as leading a team of digital executives across local markets.
For this role, we are looking for a passionate and dynamic manager who is highly motivated, a forward thinker and can independently lead the overall strategy and implementation for all owned channels. The ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years of proven experience in building paid and organic social awareness and brand equity, alongside a track record of leading and developing a sizeable, geographically dispersed team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and develop a centre of excellence for social media and content across 125+ schools, ensuring robust, progressive and effective social activity across all markets
- Understand the needs of individual schools and markets, developing social strategies, frameworks and content that align with local priorities and business objectives
- Lead and develop a team of 10 Digital Executives, ensuring the content strategy is aligned with business objectives and local market requirements
- Work closely with school leadership teams, CEOs and marketing teams to ensure social and content activity supports school, regional and commercial priorities
- Lead paid and organic social campaign management, optimising activity to maximise awareness, engagement and return on investment
- Monitor industry developments, emerging social products and digital trends to identify new opportunities, revenue streams and efficiencies for the business
- Identify opportunities to improve the global social strategy, including addressing gaps, maximising existing resources and driving incremental awareness
- Support content marketing across social media and content discovery platforms, advising on KPIs, content strategy and best practice
- Share regular social and content best practice, insights and updates across marketing teams to build capability and consistency
- Report on key performance indicators, including brand awareness, ROI, engagement and retention, using data to inform strategy and decision-making
- Create and embed global social media guidelines and policies, including online safeguarding, crisis management and best practice
- Provide strategic advice on social media and wider digital engagement, including executive and CEO presence on LinkedIn and activity beyond school-owned channels
- Oversee digital engagement opportunities beyond social media, including third-party reviews and Google Business Profile listings
- Lead the implementation and adoption of AI tools across the function, including chatbots and AI-powered copy and content solutions
