Head of Social & Digital Engagement | Maternity Cover

We’re working with a large international organisation looking for an experienced Head of Social & Digital Engagement to join its global marketing team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role with responsibility for shaping and delivering paid and organic social and content strategy across multiple international markets, while leading a geographically dispersed digital team.

You’ll be responsible for building a social media centre of excellence, driving the transition of organic social activity in-house and ensuring social and content activity delivers against brand awareness, engagement, commercial and customer objectives.

The role will include:

• Leading and developing a team of 10 digital executives across international markets
• Owning the overarching paid and organic social strategy
• Developing social and content frameworks that can be effectively adapted for different local markets
• Working closely with senior leadership and marketing teams to align social activity with commercial priorities
• Optimising paid and organic campaigns against performance and ROI
• Establishing best practice, guidelines and policies across social media, including online safeguarding and crisis management
• Reporting on KPIs across brand awareness, engagement, ROI and retention
• Identifying new digital engagement opportunities beyond traditional social channels
• Advising senior executives on their own social presence, including LinkedIn
• Exploring and implementing AI tools across the function, including chatbot and AI copy applications
