Head of Social
Central London | Hybrid | £65,000 - £75,000 DOE + Bonus + Private Healthcare + Excellent Benefits
Are you an ambitious social leader looking for the opportunity to build something from the ground up? We're working exclusively with one of London's fastest-growing independent integrated marketing agencies to appoint a Head of Social. This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to establish and lead a brand-new social offering within an award-winning business that already delivers exceptional work across experiential marketing, community engagement, content, creator partnerships and integrated campaigns for an impressive portfolio of global consumer brands.
This is far more than a traditional Head of Social role. You'll be responsible for defining the agency's social proposition, shaping its commercial offering and building a high-performing team while working alongside strategy, creative, production and client services specialists to deliver culturally relevant, social-first campaigns that make a genuine impact.
If you're looking for a role where you can influence agency direction, work directly with senior clients and play a pivotal role in future growth, this is an opportunity not to be missed.
The Role
As Head of Social, you'll take ownership of the agency's social offering from strategy through to delivery, ensuring social is seamlessly integrated into wider brand campaigns, experiential activations and creator-led programmes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Defining and leading the agency's social media proposition, service offering and long-term growth strategy.
- Developing insight-led social strategies for existing clients, new business pitches and integrated campaigns.
- Leading platform strategies across TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and emerging social channels.
- Creating scalable, always-on content programmes that maximise authentic content and community engagement.
- Working closely with creative, strategy, experiential and production teams to ensure campaigns are amplified across every stage of the customer journey.
- Overseeing content planning, creative development, reactive content, creator collaborations and platform-native production.
- Developing community management strategies, tone of voice frameworks and engagement best practice.
- Partnering with paid media specialists to maximise campaign reach and performance through social amplification.
- Using analytics, social listening and cultural insight to identify trends, optimise performance and uncover new opportunities.
- Leading senior client presentations, workshops, campaign reviews and strategic planning sessions.
- Managing budgets, profitability, resource planning and commercial performance across the social function.
- Building, mentoring and growing a talented social team as the agency continues to expand.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
