About Shine
Shine is an AI-powered career platform helping 16–24 year olds find apprenticeships, entry-level jobs, training, and educational pathways they'd never have found on their own. Our AI-guided quiz matches young people to career paths based on their strengths and interests, then gives them a personalised career map, CV builder, and application tools to get there.
We launched in June 2026 and are already growing fast: 500+ candidates onboarded, 25+ employers, and 400+ live opportunities across the UK. Our mission is a fairer way into work, at scale and we're building the launchpad for early careers across Europe.
The Role
We're looking for a Head of Social & Growth to join as a founding partner and build Shine's presence from the ground up on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts. You'll be the face and voice of Shine to Gen Z — on camera, in the street, asking real 16–24 year olds real questions about work, careers, and what nobody tells you about "adulting."
This isn't a behind-the-desk marketing role. You'll be out filming street interviews, building a content engine, and turning Shine into a brand young people actually follow — not just another platform they're told to use.
This is a part-time commitment: you'll be out filming 10am–12pm, every weekday. Equipment and travel costs for shoots are covered — you just need to show up and bring the energy.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
Graduate Consultant — 2026 Scheme
Why you're a good match
StrongYour economics background and your summer at a regional bank line up with what PwC looks for on the consulting scheme. Applications close in four weeks.
See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Why this is worth your time
- Build a real portfolio. Every interview, reel, and campaign you create is content you own — proof of your on-camera presence, editing eye, and growth instincts, not just a line on a CV.
- Be part of a proven success story. Shine is a live, fast-growing youth impact business already changing outcomes for hundreds of young people across the UK. You're not joining an idea on a whiteboard — you're joining something working.
- Ownership from day one. As a founding partner, your name is attached to the brand and the mission, with equity that reflects that.
What you'll do
- Plan, film, and lead street-interview style content (you're on camera, not just behind it)
- Build and own Shine's TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts channels from scratch
- Develop a content strategy that speaks Gen Z's language — trends, formats, tone, timing
- Turn real conversations with young people into content that drives sign-ups
- Work directly with the founding team to shape brand voice, growth strategy, and go-to-market
- Track what's working and double down — this is a growth role, not just a content role
Who you are
- Confident and bubbly on camera — you can walk up to a stranger and get them talking
- Genuinely tuned into Gen Z culture, platforms, and what makes content spread
- Comfortable with the uncertainty of an early-stage startup, this is a builder role, not a 9-to-5
- Able to commit to filming every weekday, 10am–12pm
- Experienced in (or a fast learner of) short-form content creation and social growth
- Motivated by equity and mission over a pay cheque, at least for now
- Able to travel for filming (role is otherwise remote; travel costs covered)
- Happy to undergo a DBS check, as you will be speaking to younger members of the public

Compensation
This is an equity-only founding partner role at this stage — no salary yet, though filming equipment and any travel costs are provided. Equity is meaningful and negotiable based on experience and commitment. In return, you get real ownership, a portfolio of content you've built and starred in, and your name tied to a youth impact business that's already proving itself. If you're looking for a paid position right now, this isn't it — but if you want to build something from zero with real ownership, let's talk.
How to apply
Apply here or email anna@shineai.tech with a bit about yourself and ideally a short video of you talking to camera. Show us, don't just tell us.
Shine AI is building a fairer way into work for the next generation. If you want to be part of that from day one, we'd love to hear from you.
