Head of Software Delivery
Location: UK Remote
Salary: Up to £90k + Company Benefits
Lead software delivery for an innovative SaaS business transforming the education sector.
We're partnering with an established software company whose products are trusted by universities, colleges and research institutions across the UK and internationally.
As the business continues to grow, they're looking for a Head of Software Delivery to lead their Development, QA and Product teams, ensuring software is delivered efficiently, projects remain on track and teams have the leadership and support they need to succeed.
This isn't a role for someone who wants to be the most technical person in the room. Instead, it's an opportunity for a leader who enjoys building high-performing teams, improving delivery and creating an environment where great software gets built.
The Role
Working closely with senior leadership, you'll take ownership of software delivery across the business, turning strategic priorities into successful outcomes.
You'll lead multidisciplinary teams, improve planning and delivery processes, remove obstacles and ensure projects are delivered to a high standard, while balancing customer needs, commercial priorities and engineering best practice.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
