Head of Software Engineering
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Software Engineering to lead engineering, architecture, and technology delivery within a growing organisation undergoing significant digital transformation.
You'll be responsible for shaping technology strategy, leading engineering teams, and ensuring business-critical platforms remain secure, scalable, and aligned with organisational goals.
Reporting into the executive leadership team, you'll influence the future direction of technology while driving innovation, efficiency, and operational excellence.

What You'll Be Doing
- Leading software engineering and architecture functions
- Defining technology strategy and platform roadmaps
- Delivering scalable and maintainable technology solutions
- Supporting digital transformation and AI initiatives
- Driving development standards, governance, and quality assurance
- Managing integrations between internal systems and third-party platforms
- Developing high-performing technical teams
- Collaborating with business leaders and technology partners

Essential Skills
- Technology leadership experience within engineering, architecture, or software delivery
- Strong knowledge of cloud technologies and modern development practices
- Experience leading software engineering teams
- Enterprise systems integration experience
- DevOps and CI/CD knowledge
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Nice to Have
- Financial services or regulated industry experience
- Microsoft technology ecosystem experience
- Digital transformation programme delivery
