Head of Software - Cambridgeshire (Hybrid) - circa £110,000 + Benefits - Ref 2045
I am currently recruiting for a Head of Software to work for one of the UK's most highly regarded organisations. Salary up to £110,000 + Benefits.
The organisation has been in operation for over 30 years and given the consistent high quality of work they produce for their clients, they have become the go-to company for many. They have a fantastic reputation in the market for excellence, employ some of the best engineers in the industry within their respective disciplines, and are renowned for being able to solve some of the most complex and challenging engineering problems their clients are faced with. The work is extremely varied and no day, project, or product is ever the same.
To support the ongoing growth of the business, they now have the need to appoint a Head of Software on a permanent basis who can work from their state-of-the-art offices in Cambridgeshire with the option to work 2 days from home if of interest.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow a technically capable team of engineers consisting of Embedded, DSP, FPGA, and AI/ML professionals.
- Train, develop, and nurture the existing talent, as well as hire and onboard additional individuals where and when applicable to ensure deliverables are met.
- Implement process improvements across the team, specifically with regards to the way the Software is developed and maintained.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience as a Head of Software, Software Development Manager, or similar.
- Experience in some of the following technical areas: Embedded Software, DSP, FPGA, and AI/ML.
