Head of Special Education

We are looking for an experienced senior education leader to lead and develop specialist education provision across multiple sites.
This role will focus on driving quality, supporting senior leaders, improving learner outcomes and strengthening pathways into adulthood, independence and employment.
The role will involve:
- Leading the strategic direction of specialist education provision
- Supporting Principals, Heads of Service and senior leaders
- Driving quality improvement across teaching, learning and outcomes
- Supporting inspection readiness and continuous improvement
- Using data to improve achievement, attendance, retention and progression
- Building strong relationships with local authorities, employers and external partners
- Promoting a culture of inclusion, accountability and high standards

We are looking for someone with:
- Significant senior leadership experience in education
- Experience across specialist education, further education or multi-site provision
- Strong understanding of SEN or additional learning needs
- Experience improving learner outcomes and leading quality improvement
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Teaching qualification such as PGCE or equivalent SENCO, NPQH or an equivalent leadership qualification would be beneficial.
