Head of Strategic & Financial Planning | Hybrid

I'm supporting a global, PE-backed technology business to appoint a Head of Strategic & Financial Planning.

This is a highly visible leadership role, partnering closely with the CFO, Executive Team and investors to drive strategic decision-making across a complex, international organisation. Sitting at the intersection of FP&A, strategic finance, investor relations and business partnering, you'll lead a high-performing team while shaping the long-term financial and commercial direction of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Group's strategic planning, budgeting and long-range forecasting processes.
  • Partner with the CFO and Executive Team to support strategic decision-making.
  • Deliver commercial insight, financial modelling and scenario analysis to support growth and value creation.
  • Support Board, lender and investor reporting requirements.
  • Develop clear and compelling financial narratives for senior stakeholders.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing strategic finance team.
  • Drive continuous improvement across planning, reporting and performance management.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
