About The Role
As Head of Strategic Growth - Services, Europe & Africa, you will play a critical leadership role in driving Sulzer Services' strategic agenda across the region. Reporting directly to the Regional President, Europe & Africa, and working closely with the Regional Leadership Team, you will lead the development, execution and governance of high-impact strategic initiatives that support sustainable growth, operational excellence and long-term value creation.
Acting as a trusted partner to the Regional President and senior leaders, you will translate strategic priorities into actionable programmes, oversee mission-critical business projects, and ensure alignment between regional objectives and the broader Services Division strategy. This highly visible role offers significant exposure to executive stakeholders and the opportunity to influence the future direction of the Europe & Africa business.
The successful candidate can be based at any of our Services sites across Europe & Africa, with international travel required to support business and project needs.
Your Main Tasks And Responsibilities
- Serve as a key strategic advisor to the Regional President and Europe & Africa Leadership Team, supporting the development, prioritisation and execution of the regional strategic agenda.
- Lead the implementation of divisional and corporate strategy across Europe & Africa, ensuring effective deployment, governance and tracking of strategic initiatives, objectives and key performance indicators.
- Drive critical growth and transformation projects across the region, including business expansion, market development, operational excellence programmes, organisational effectiveness initiatives, partnerships and other strategic business priorities.
- Lead and coordinate a regional team of Strategic Projects, Transformation and Operational Excellence resources, with indirect and matrix leadership responsibility across Europe & Africa. Drive alignment of priorities, capability development, resource deployment and collaboration across functions and geographies, ensuring strategic initiatives are delivered effectively and generate measurable business impact.
- Prepare executive-level presentations, reports and business cases for regional and divisional leadership, providing clear insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Lead and coordinate the regional mergers and acquisitions agenda, working closely with the Global M&A team to identify opportunities, develop investment cases, support transaction execution and drive successful post-acquisition integration activities.

To Succeed in This Role, You Will Need
- Significant experience in strategic leadership, business transformation, corporate strategy, management consulting or operational leadership roles within an industrial or engineering environment.
- Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional programmes and delivering business-critical initiatives across multiple countries and stakeholders.
- Strong commercial and business acumen with the ability to evaluate growth opportunities and develop strategic recommendations.
- Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, partnerships or broader corporate development activities is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate data and insights into actionable business strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and engage senior executives and leadership teams within a matrix organisation.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills.
- A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach to execution and delivery.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate ambiguity and deliver results through collaboration and influence.
- Industrial services, engineering, rotating equipment or related sector experience would be advantageous.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or a related discipline.
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
- Formal project management or programme management qualifications would be advantageous.
