We are looking for a Head of Strategic Pricing Centre of Excellence who is visionary, influential, and innovation-focused to join our Global HTA, Access & Pricing team, shaping pricing strategies and capabilities across UCB’s global portfolio based in Slough, UK or Brussels, Belgium.
About the Role
As Head of Strategic Pricing Centre of Excellence, and member of the Global Access and Pricing Strategy Team’s Leadership, you will act as UCB’s enterprise authority on pricing strategy, innovation, governance, and capability development.
You will define future-ready pricing approaches that balance patient access, value recognition, affordability, and sustainable growth across specialty care, rare diseases, advanced therapies, and precision medicine. Your influence will span the asset lifecycle, from early portfolio decisions and launch planning through in-market optimization, indication expansion, and lifecycle management.
As a senior strategic advisor, you will translate complex payer, policy, competitive, and evidence dynamics into clear strategic pricing recommendations for asset and executive leadership. You will also advance the use of analytics, artificial intelligence, and innovative reimbursement models to strengthen pricing decisions across the organization.
Who You’ll Work With
You will collaborate with the Head of Global Access and Pricing Strategy and the respective Leadership Team, the HTA & Payer community, Global Asset Teams, Asset Payer Heads, regional and affiliate Market Access teams, HEOR, Medical, Commercial, Finance, Forecasting, Policy, Legal, Compliance, Business Development, and Digital and Data teams.
You will work across functions and geographies to align stakeholders around common pricing principles, incorporate local market realities into global strategies, and support consistent enterprise decision-making.
What You’ll Do
- Define and continuously evolve UCB’s global pricing strategy, principles, governance, methodologies, and operating models.
- Advise asset and executive leadership on critical pricing, access, launch, investment, and portfolio decisions.
- Develop pricing strategies that balance patient access, value recognition, affordability, and long-term portfolio sustainability.
- Shape global pricing readiness for major launches, including launch sequencing, competitive positioning, and international reference pricing risk.
- Guide portfolio prioritization and investment decisions through pricing scenarios, simulations, forecasting, and revenue optimization.
- Embed advanced analytics, AI-enabled insights, predictive modelling, and digital solutions into strategic pricing decisions.
- Champion innovative approaches such as value-based pricing, outcomes-based agreements, indication-based pricing, subscription models, and novel reimbursement mechanisms.
- Partner with global asset teams to ensure pricing recommendations are evidence-based and aligned with payer expectations.
- Build world-class pricing capabilities through coaching, mentoring, talent development, and knowledge sharing.
- Monitor global pricing trends, policy developments, healthcare reforms, and emerging market access models.
- Represent UCB externally through industry bodies, payer forums, trade associations, and strategic partnerships.
- Position UCB as a thought leader in pricing innovation and value-based healthcare.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
