Head of Strategic Procurement – Property, FM & Capital Projects

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a senior procurement leader to take on a highly visible, European-wide position within a major international organisation undergoing significant growth and procurement transformation.

Operating across a diverse property portfolio, you will lead strategic category management across a broad range of spend, with particular exposure to Facilities Management, Property, Capital Projects and wider Indirect Procurement.

This is a genuine leadership role combining category strategy, complex sourcing, senior stakeholder engagement and people management. You will manage a team of Procurement Managers across multiple European markets while personally leading some of the organisation’s most commercially significant procurement programmes.

Role Summary:

  • Own and develop category strategies across major areas of European spend
  • Lead complex, high-value strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations
  • Manage and develop a team of Procurement Managers operating across multiple markets
  • Build procurement engagement with senior operational, corporate and development stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to leverage spend across countries and business units
  • Increase procurement influence across property development and capital investment programmes
  • Develop strategic supplier relationships and strengthen supplier performance management
  • Drive measurable savings, commercial value and improved service outcomes
  • Support the continued development of procurement processes, governance, technology and ESG initiatives
  • Work closely with senior procurement leadership to continue building a best-in-class European procurement function

We are looking for an established senior procurement professional with significant experience operating in complex, multi-site or multi-country organisations.

You are likely to bring:

  • Extensive strategic procurement and category management experience
  • Previous leadership experience at Head of / Director level
  • Strong experience within Facilities Management, Property, Capital Projects, Indirects or a closely related category
  • Experience managing and developing procurement teams
  • A strong track record of delivering significant, EBITDA-impacting savings
  • Experience leading major tenders, commercial negotiations and supplier frameworks
  • The credibility to influence senior stakeholders across operational and corporate functions
  • European or international procurement experience
  • Experience within Real Estate, Facilities Management, Hospitality, Construction or another asset-intensive environment would be particularly relevant
