Right across infrastructure, there’s a requirement to not only maintain, but also renew and reimagine.

Whatever stage you’re at in your career, with us you’ll have an opportunity to grow and develop. Delivering essential infrastructure services for life, while being safety first, and client and customer centric in a friendly, fun and respectful environment where you are encouraged to thrive.

Where will you be working?

At M Group, we're building and upgrading the energy infrastructure that powers everyday life.

As a leading Tier 1 provider supporting the transition to a net zero economy, our Energy Infrastructure Division delivers comprehensive services across electricity transmission and distribution, renewable energy, and electric vehicle (EV) markets.

Our expertise helps businesses and communities reduce their carbon footprints while driving sustainability, efficiency, and long-term environmental benefits. Whether improving network infrastructure, enabling renewable energy connections, or supporting the adoption of green technologies, we're committed to building a cleaner, more sustainable future.

Within our Distribution and EV business unit, we play a critical role in supporting the UK's transition to Clean Power. We deliver complex high-voltage (HV) projects for Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) and install EV and electric heavy goods vehicle (eHGV) charging infrastructure for Charge Point Operators (CPOs).

Government policy and regulatory frameworks are expected to drive sustained investment growth over the next decade and beyond, creating significant opportunities across our core markets and underpinning our ambitious growth plans.

Role Purpose

Reporting to the Managing Director, Distribution & EV, the Head of Strategic Proposals is responsible for leading the strategic proposals programme across the Distribution & EV business.

The role develops, coordinates and governs a portfolio of strategic pursuits aligned to ED3, future RIIO investment periods and the Division growth ambitions. Working through a matrix structure, the role brings together resources from Work Winning, Operations, Commercial, Finance and support functions to deliver successful outcomes across multiple concurrent opportunities. The role owns the overall proposals programme across an 18 to 24 month horizon, ensuring effective governance, planning, stakeholder engagement, resource coordination and reporting.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
