About Economist Pro
Economist Pro is the B2B arm of The Economist, helping organizations make better decisions through trusted, data-led reporting and analysis. Our organizational subscriptions bring together The Economist’s insight with workplace integrations, including API access, to support leaders navigating geopolitical, economic, and business change.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a strategic, commercially-minded leader to help Economist Pro set its direction, focus on the priorities that matter most, and deliver against them.
You will report to the SVP of Economist Pro and work closely with the leadership team to shape strategy, turn it into executable plans, drive progress across a portfolio of critical initiatives, and improve organizational effectiveness.
This role combines strategic problem-solving, program leadership, and hands-on delivery. It is strategic and delivery-focused rather than administrative, and is designed for someone who is equally comfortable shaping the conversation and ensuring decisions translate into action.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
