Head of Student Experience
Are you a strategic leader with a passion for transforming the student experience and ensuring every learner has the support, guidance and opportunities they need to succeed?
We are seeking an inspiring and ambitious Head of Student Experience to lead and develop a high-quality, inclusive student journey from initial enquiry through to progression into employment, higher education or further training. This pivotal leadership role will oversee admissions, student finance, careers education and guidance, student voice, enrichment and learner engagement services, ensuring that every aspect of the student experience contributes positively to participation, retention, achievement, wellbeing and progression. As the College’s Strategic Careers Lead, you will champion careers education, employability and progression planning across all curriculum areas, while leading quality standards, accreditations and innovative initiatives that prepare learners for their next steps.
Working collaboratively with curriculum teams, schools, employers, local authorities and external partners, you will drive continuous improvement through data-informed decision making, learner feedback and effective quality assurance processes. You will provide strong leadership to multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets and resources effectively, secure external funding opportunities and ensure compliance with safeguarding, equality, inclusion and regulatory requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced education, careers or student services leader who is committed to removing barriers to learning, improving outcomes and creating an outstanding student experience. If you have a proven track record of leading teams, developing partnerships and delivering measurable impact for learners, we would love to hear from you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
