Head of Studio (Freelance / Interim to Perm)

£500-£600 per day DOE / £90-100k perm
3 days/week in a Central London office.

About the job

Major Players is working with a live events group running a major festival portfolio across the UK & Europe, to find a Head of Studio to build & run their new Studio function.

This is a newly-created role reporting into the Marketing Director. You'll run a virtual studio model - scaling a flexible freelance creative network up & down around festival peaks - repurposing festival-owned assets into channel-ready creative across Meta, TikTok, email & more, always within each festival's brand guidelines. AI/automation sits at the centre of the role, not as a side project.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the trusted creative authority for festival teams, translating each festival's brand & fan experience into high-performing digital creative
  • Build & manage a flexible freelance production network, with strong briefing, QA & workflow standards
  • Design AI-augmented production workflows (Runway, Pika, Adobe Firefly or equivalent) for motion, graphics & format adaptation at scale
  • Own the creative effectiveness loop with the Performance & CRM teams - brief, produce, test, measure, learn
  • Set creative KPIs tied to commercial outcomes: engagement rate, click-thumbstop ratio, cost-per-ticket-click, CAC reduction
  • Extend high-performing creative concepts into lifecycle channels (email, SMS, WhatsApp), not just paid media
  • Design & maintain a portfolio-wide, tagged asset library

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
