Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are delighted to be partnered with an established industrial equipment manufacturing business, entering a sustained growth trajectory, with the sourcing & selection of a position of Head of Supply Chain
Drive the supply chain strategy for a growing organisation where your decisions will directly impact service levels, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This is a senior leadership role for an experienced Head of Supply Chain who can shape an end-to-end operation and embed best-in-class processes and systems across the business.
About the Role
As Head of Supply Chain, you will take full ownership of the end-to-end supply chain, from demand planning and procurement through to logistics and distribution. You will set the strategic direction, optimise processes, and ensure the supply chain is aligned with business growth plans and customer requirements. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will lead a high-performing team and drive continuous improvement across all supply chain functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead the end-to-end supply chain strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and growth plans.
- Oversee demand planning, inventory management, procurement, and logistics to ensure product availability, cost control, and service excellence.
- Direct and optimise logistics and distribution operations, including transport, warehousing, and third-party providers, to improve performance and reduce risk.
- Lead, manage, and develop the supply chain team, setting clear objectives, building capability, and driving accountability.
- Implement, manage, and continuously improve ERP and supply chain systems to enhance visibility, data accuracy, and decision-making.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Sales, and Commercial teams to support new initiatives, product launches, and customer projects.
- Analyse supply chain performance data, identify bottlenecks, and deliver structured improvement programmes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Establish and maintain robust governance, KPIs, and reporting frameworks to monitor performance and support informed strategic decisions.

Key Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior supply chain leadership role with responsibility for end-to-end supply chain operations.
- Strong track record of managing logistics and distribution networks, including warehousing and transport.
- Demonstrable proficiency in ERP and supply chain systems, with the ability to drive process and system improvements.
- Experience leading and developing multi-disciplinary supply chain teams in a fast-paced, complex environment.
- Ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and influence at senior level to drive alignment and delivery.
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with experience translating strategy into actionable plans.
- Excellent analytical skills and commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Clear, confident communication skills with the ability to present supply chain plans and performance to senior leadership.

Desirable Skills
- Experience of designing or re-engineering supply chain networks to support business transformation or growth.
- Background in working with third-party logistics providers and managing complex supplier relationships.
- Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma) within a supply chain context.
- Experience in implementing or upgrading ERP and supply chain planning tools.
- Sector-specific experience in manufacturing, distribution, or FMCG environments.
Qualifications
- Degree-level education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations, or a related discipline.
- Professional supply chain or logistics qualification (e.g. CIPS, APICS, IoSCM) preferred.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development in supply chain, operations, or leadership.
