UFP (UK) LTD — Head of Supply Chain & Logistics
UFP is seeking to appoint a Head of Supply Chain & Logistics to provide strategic leadership across our distribution, transport and warehousing operations.
This is a senior appointment for a candidate with a proven track record in supply chain leadership, capable of driving operational excellence while supporting the company's continued growth.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- The development and execution of long- and short-term logistics strategy
- The management of logistics and supply chain budgets, including cost control and profitability
- The optimisation of our warehouse network, transport routes and third-party logistics (3PL) arrangements
- The implementation of supply chain technology, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and automation
- The negotiation and management of vendor and 3PL contracts
- The maintenance of full compliance with health, safety and company policy across the supply chain

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Performance will be assessed against key operational metrics, including:
- Delivered in Full, on Time (DIFOT)
- Perfect Order Index (order accuracy)
- Budget and cost management
- Inventory control and space efficiency

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should have:
- Extensive senior-level experience in distribution, transport or supply chain management
- Strong commercial acumen, including P&L management, forecasting and data analysis
- A demonstrated ability to lead large, multi-site teams and cross-functional departments
- A relevant degree in supply chain management, business or logistics, together with appropriate professional certifications
