Job Description:

Our purpose is to bring together people, energy and markets to power and navigate a changing world. In a time of constant change and possibility we need new talent to pursue commercial opportunities, fuelled by world-class insight and expertise. We’re always striving for more innovative digital solutions, sustainable outcomes and closer collaboration across our company and beyond, and you could be part of that too. At bp, we're transforming how we serve customers and communities across our UK retail network. With around 330 stores, including bp branded sites, Wild Bean Café and M&S Simply Food, our supply chain plays a critical role in delivering safe, reliable and efficient operations every day.

About the role:

We're looking for an experienced and commercially minded Head of Supply Chain & Logistics to lead the strategic direction and performance of our UK convenience supply chain. This is a highly visible leadership role with end-to-end accountability for product flow, inventory performance, logistics operations and supply chain strategy, helping us deliver outstanding customer experiences while supporting future growth ambitions.

What you'll do:

As Head of Supply Chain & Logistics, you'll lead the development and delivery of our UK supply chain strategy, ensuring we continue to provide exceptional service while optimising cost, inventory and operational performance.

You'll be responsible for:

Supply Chain Strategy & Performance

  • Driving continuous improvement across planning, forecasting, replenishment, inventory management and logistics operations.
  • Ensuring supply chain capabilities support current and future business growth.
  • Delivering strong performance across safety, product availability, waste reduction and cost-to-serve.

Supply Chain Operations & Inventory Management

  • Leading end-to-end supply chain performance from supplier through to store.
  • Ensuring excellent on-shelf availability across the retail network.
  • Developing inventory and replenishment strategies that balance customer service, working capital and waste reduction.
  • Driving operational excellence through data-led decision making and performance management.

Logistics & Commercial Leadership

  • Owning the relationship with our third-party logistics providers and ensuring delivery against commercial, service and safety commitments.
  • Leading contract governance, supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Managing significant logistics expenditure and identifying opportunities to bring value and improve efficiency.
  • Leading commercial negotiations and strategic supplier engagement.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
