Head of Supply Chain & Operations
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Head of Supply Chain & Operations based in United Kingdom.
Lead the transformation of a growing direct-to-consumer business by building a scalable, efficient, and reliable supply chain operation. This role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of global supply chain strategy, from forecasting and procurement to logistics and supplier management. You will design systems that improve operational performance, reduce costs, and enable sustainable growth. Working closely with leadership, you will solve complex operational challenges and create processes that allow the business to scale with confidence. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an operations expert who thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast-moving environment.
Accountabilities
- Own the end-to-end supply chain function, including demand forecasting, inventory planning, procurement, logistics, and operational performance.
- Develop and implement scalable supply chain systems that improve efficiency, reliability, and visibility as the business grows.
- Manage supplier and manufacturing relationships, particularly with international partners, ensuring strong collaboration, quality standards, and operational excellence.
- Oversee freight forwarding, customs processes, import operations, and international logistics coordination.
- Lead and optimize 3PL partnerships, improving delivery performance, cost efficiency, and customer experience.
- Negotiate supplier agreements, payment terms, and operational partnerships to optimize costs and strengthen business relationships.
- Manage ERP systems and establish accurate reporting processes across inventory, procurement, and supply chain data.
- Build operational infrastructure that enables the business to scale while reducing dependency on day-to-day leadership involvement.

Requirements
- Proven experience managing supply chain operations at scale, ideally within a DTC, eCommerce, consumer goods, or fast-growing brand environment.
- Strong background in international logistics, procurement, inventory management, and supplier negotiations.
- Deep experience working with global manufacturing partners, including China-based suppliers.
- Hands-on experience managing 3PL operations, ERP systems, forecasting tools, and operational reporting processes.
- Demonstrated ability to build processes, systems, and teams that support business growth.
- Strong leadership skills with experience taking ownership of complex operational challenges and driving solutions independently.
- Fluent English communication skills are required; German proficiency is considered an advantage.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
- Entrepreneurial approach with a proactive attitude, strong accountability, and the ability to move quickly in a dynamic environment.
