About
We are Survivors: We Are Survivors is a specialist charity supporting boys and men affected by sexual abuse, rape and sexual exploitation, alongside their loved ones. We provide a range of trauma-informed services designed to help survivors feel heard, supported and able to move forward in a way that works for them. Our work includes therapy, advocacy, practical and emotional support, community-based services and work within the criminal justice system. Alongside direct support, we work with partners across health, criminal justice and the voluntary sector to improve responses to male survivors and challenge the barriers that can prevent men and boys from accessing help. Everything we do is driven by our ambition to ensure that no male survivor is left behind.
Role Description
The Head of Support & Advocacy is a senior operational leadership role with responsibility for some of our key survivor-facing services. This includes our Community Development work, which creates opportunities for connection, peer support and engagement; our ISVA service, providing specialist advocacy to survivors navigating their options and the criminal justice system; OUT Side OUT Spoken, supporting men as they move through and beyond the secure estate; and Pathfinder, our partnership approach for survivors who may have more complex needs or face barriers to engaging with traditional services. You will provide leadership across these services, supporting managers and practitioners to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed and survivor-centred support while ensuring services meet contractual requirements and agreed outcomes. You will also work closely with the Service Director, Operations Director and wider leadership team to develop our services, strengthen partnerships and make sure what we offer continues to respond to what survivors tell us they need.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
