Job Purpose

This is an exciting opportunity to join the sustainability team lead the implementation of our initiatives and strategy. Responsible for building sustainability awareness, driving innovation for profitable growth by protecting natural environment, human and ecological health and not compromising our way of life. Enable CPL to grow as a responsible company with strong values, and to become an employer of choice.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Global Sustainability Strategies

  • Lead the communication and implementation of global sustainability strategies
  • Continue to build overall sustainability awareness
  • Seek new, innovative and economical ways to enhance sustainability
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and seek their buy in and approval
  • Lead and manage global and local relevant projects
  • Lead the leadership team in forward thinking and future thinking when making decisions

  • Ensure compliance with legislation, corporate guidelines and strategies
  • Advise business on how to achieve ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, SA8000
  • Deliver a number of key projects in Dubai, UK and Colombia to reduce carbon footprint and waste
  • Prevent pollution across all sites
  • Conduct internal audits
  • Provide regular updates, report and track progress of projects, make necessary adjustments

Innovation and Communication

  • Work with R&D teams to ensure projects are mindful of our sustainability requirements
  • Completion of our quarterly report and updates
  • Responsible for our annual report
  • Build publicity on Web/Intranet – CAFOD, Sustainable RMs, COFVI, education for schools

Sourcing

  • Work closely with purchasing to assist in the implementation of our responsible sourcing policy
  • Review assessment forms from suppliers; supply feedback

  • Play an active role in the industry, promote and share CPL’s sustainability initiatives
  • Provide necessary information to CPL team and ensure necessary collaboration and communication
  • Work with key stakeholders to position CPL as an employer of choice
  • Actively engage in community support and charity partnerships

Skills and Attributes Required

  • Relevant business and commercial degree essential
  • Relevant industry experience in a B2B technology environment desired
  • Passion for building sustainability and change management
  • Experience with managing ISO systems would be a benefit
  • Strong prioritisation, planning, organisation and analytical skills with a proactive, can do attitude
  • Strong analytical and project management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders in different countries and cultures
