Head of Systems

Description
Adanola is entering an exciting phase of rapid growth. As we scale internationally and expand our product ranges, we’re looking for a Head of Systems to own the technology backbone that keeps everything running seamlessly.
You will own the platforms and integrations that power our end-to-end business operations, from NetSuite to Shopify to 3PL systems you’ll ensure our systems scale reliably during launch spikes and peak trading, whilst also supporting the business to prepare for further international expansion.
We believe accurate actuals, strong product & inventory integrity, and exceptional operator experience are competitive advantages. You’ll be responsible for maintaining these foundations as complexity grows.
Key Responsibilities
Systems & Infrastructure
- Ensure NetSuite, Shopify and all 3PL/WMS integrations perform flawlessly during launches, campaigns and peak trading.
- Define and oversee a resilient systems environment that scales and drive platform optimisation and readiness for high-volume events and multi-region/channels scaling.
- Provide strategic direction for all business platforms, shaping how they evolve as Adanola grows, work in partnership with business areas to define the most appropriate platform solutions.

Systems Integration & Data Flow
- Own the architecture ensuring real-time accuracy of orders, inventory, customer and financial data across all systems.
- Lead proactive monitoring and issue prevention frameworks.
- Own the long-term systems architecture for scalability, resilience and speed.
Service Delivery & Support
- Establish SLAs, KPIs and reporting for system uptime, support response and integration health.
- Manage vendors, partners and SaaS providers to deliver best-in-class performance.
- Lead a systems support function that resolves issues rapidly and removes operational friction.
Process & Continuous Improvement
- Lead cross-functional system process design and optimisation initiatives.
- Own system and integration enhancement projects end-to-end.
- Improve workflows, eliminate manual processes, and optimise system performance across departments.
- Lead integration projects that unlock future growth (international expansion, marketplace integrations, wholesale, retail and new fulfilment models).
AI Enablement & Automation
- Partner with teams across the business to identify opportunities for AI-augmentation and automation.
- Prototype and scale solutions using n8n, ChatGPT, Claude and platform-native AI tools.
- Champion a culture of intelligent automation and continuous improvement.
Security & Compliance

- Oversee cybersecurity tooling and access control policies.
- In partnership with the Data team, ensure GDPR compliance and data governance.
- Maintain disaster recovery and continuity planning.
Team Leadership
- Develop, manage and mentor the team, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure that systems are meeting the needs of all departments.
