Job Overview
Eutelsat is undergoing a major business transformation as it evolves into a multi-orbit telecommunications leader.
We are looking for an experienced Talent and Learning leader to help the organisation develop the critical skills, talent pipelines and workforce capabilities required to support this transformation.
This is a hands-on role combining Talent Management, Succession Planning, Learning & Development, Skills Management and Workforce Planning. The successful candidate will work closely with HR Business Partners and business leaders to build practical and scalable solutions that support business priorities, strengthen internal mobility and prepare the workforce for future capability needs.

The role manages one direct report responsible for the day-to-day coordination of learning activities and works in close partnership with HR teams supporting learning operations and administration.
What You'll Do
Workforce Planning, Skills & Career Development
- Lead workforce planning activities to identify critical capability needs and future skills requirements.
- Maintain and evolve Eutelsat's competency framework and job architecture.
- Assess workforce capabilities and identify key skills gaps across the organisation.
- Support the GEO-to-LEO skills transition through targeted reskilling and redeployment initiatives.
- Strengthen internal mobility and career development opportunities.
- Provide workforce and skills insights to support business and people decisions.
Talent Management & Succession Planning
- Lead the annual Talent Review and People Review processes.
- Identify key talent and critical roles across the organisation.
- Strengthen succession planning for leadership, expert and business-critical positions.
- Develop talent pipelines and career development opportunities.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and leaders to support talent development and retention.
- Ensure talent priorities are aligned with future business and capability needs.
Learning & Capability Development
- Define and implement the Group learning strategy.
- Develop learning pathways supporting technical, leadership and professional capabilities.
- Deliver reskilling and upskilling initiatives supporting the GEO-to-LEO transition.
- Partner with subject matter experts to facilitate knowledge transfer and capability development.
- Support leadership development and manager capability programmes.
- Monitor learning impact and continuously improve learning offerings.
Learning Operations & Digital Platforms
- Oversee the Group learning ecosystem, including Docebo and Udemy.
- Manage one Learning & Talent Operations resource responsible for day-to-day coordination and learning administration.
- Partner with HR teams supporting learning delivery and operations.
- Drive learner engagement and adoption of digital learning solutions.
- Monitor participation, completion and learning effectiveness metrics.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as a trusted advisor to HRBP, functional leaders and regional HR teams.
- Build strong partnerships with HRBPs and business leadership teams.
- Influence senior stakeholders on workforce, talent and capability decisions.
- Bring external market insights and best practices into Eutelsat's people strategy.
- Lead through influence in a highly international and matrixed environment.
Success Measures (First 18–24 Months)
The successful candidate will:
- Refresh and embed Eutelsat's competency framework and career architecture.
- Strengthen succession planning for critical leadership and expert roles.
- Support the GEO-to-LEO capability transition through targeted learning and reskilling initiatives.
- Increase internal mobility and talent development opportunities across the organisation.
- Improve adoption and effectiveness of the Group learning ecosystem, including Docebo and Udemy.
What You'll Need
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in Talent Management, Learning & Development, Workforce Planning or Organisational Development.
- Experience designing and implementing competency, career and talent frameworks.
- Strong experience in talent reviews, succession planning and leadership development.
- Experience managing learning programmes and digital learning platforms.
- Experience in international and matrix organisations.
- Exposure to technology, engineering, telecommunications or other knowledge-based industries is a plus.

- Fluent English required. French, Italian or Spanish are advantageous.
