Head of Tax
Role Overview
Fueled by bold ambition.
The Head of Tax is responsible for leading the global tax strategy, governance, compliance, and risk management framework of Cadillac F1® Team. The role ensures the Group meets all tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions while supporting the commercial and operational objectives of a high-growth F1® organisation.
Responsibilities
- Lead on managing and delivering the group global tax strategy and rolling agenda
- Oversee tax compliance and reporting obligations across all taxes and jurisdictions; and manage the tax team priorities and responsibilities to ensure all deadlines are met
- Lead on R&D tax credit preparation and submissions
- Manage global tax risks i.e. permanent establishment, social security, and other international mobility tax requirements, overseas VAT recovery, withholding tax compliance etc
- Design and maintain transfer pricing policies and supporting documentation
- Continually develop and maintain the Group's tax governance framework and ensure compliance with key areas i.e. Corporate Criminal Offence
- Report key tax opportunities and risks to the CFO and wider senior leadership team as appropriate
- Advise the business on tax implications of proposed business initiatives and planning items
- Manage relationships with external advisors, tax authorities, shareholders, and internal stakeholders
- Play a key role in shaping and implementing the Finance Leadership Team strategy
- Ensure all tax ledgers are up to date and accurate as part of month-end process
- Provide forecasted tax figures and professional fee spend for annual budgets and update these for any re-forecasts
- Maintain robust internal controls and risk management procedures
- Manage tax team direct reports including holding performance check-ins and goal setting and monitoring

Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA), ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification
- Proven experience of working within a tax team, including significant post-qualification experience in a multinational corporate environment or professional services firm covering a variety of taxes
- US Tax experience required
- Motorsport industry experience preferred but not essential
- Strong technical expertise in UK Corporate Tax, International Tax, R&D Tax Relief, Transfer Pricing, Employment Taxes (including IR35), VAT, and Indirect Taxes, US Tax, and European Tax compliance
- Experience managing tax authority enquiries and audits
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and explain complex tax matters to people not experienced in tax areas
