About The Role
As the Head of Technical for the One Horton Heath Project, you will provide an essential role overseeing the Operational Boards for detailed design matters, and provide updates to the Project Management Team in relation to all planning and technical design matters.
This post will ensure that compliance, consents and relevant approvals are delivered across the programme of projects in accordance with approved business plans and relevant timescales. They will be responsible for delivering corporate reporting to the council senior leadership team in respect of design and town planning matters related to the project. The post will have a primary objective to support the delivery of the current construction phase (Lower Acre) with the management of the technical team members external consultants, along with the main contractor.

About You
The successful candidate will be professionally qualified and accredited in a relevant discipline (for example, RIBA, CIOB). Extensive experience is required of detailed design, planning and project management across large scale constriction and development projects.
You will be able to demonstrate technical and planning knowledge and have commercial awareness. You will have a proven record of delivery on programmes, including recovery on delayed programmes. The ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels is key.
You will be able to set strategies, be a strong leader and be computer literate. The ability to manage third party consultants is advantageous.
