You will be working for an extremely successful and well-established manufacturer which is dedicated to producing high quality, authentic products. They are dedicated to supplying the retail, wholesale, and foodservice sectors with a continuously evolving range to meet customer needs.
About the Head of Technical job
Reporting into senior management, as the Head of Technical you will be key member of the team managing the technical function and ensuring that the company`s products are manufactured to standards that meet or exceed all agreed internal or external specifications.
Key tasks
- Lead, develop and coach the technical team to perform their roles effectively and maintain current technical knowledge of changes, challenges, risks, and business issues.
- To lead and fully understand the site HACCP and be involved in the evaluation of risk and defining controls, prior to the introduction of a new process, product, or raw material. To ensure that the requirements of HACCP are implemented, maintained, and achieved.
- Lead the business with management of technical audits, hosting audits as appropriate. Manage response & close out of non-conformance reports from audits as required.
- Identify and promote technical business improvement practices to deliver legal compliance and competitive advantage whilst driving functional improvements.
- Develop strong relationships with the technical representatives of our key customers to build and maintain their confidence in the company’s technical standards.

About You
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior technical position within high-care / high-risk food manufacturer.
- Excellent working knowledge of HACCP and BRC/Salsa Regulations.
- Effective communication skills and experience of building and maintaining relationships with customers.
