The Role
As Head of Technical, you'll own the technical heartbeat of Ten Technology Group. You'll set the standards, lead the teams, shape the proposition, and make sure that every project we deliver is something we're proud to put our name on. It's a broad role — part technical authority, part people leader, part commercial contributor — and that's exactly what makes it exciting.
What You'll Do
- Set and own TenAV's technical standards, processes, and quality frameworks — the bedrock everything else is built on.
- Lead, mentor, and develop our engineering and installation teams, building capability for the scale ahead.
- Act as the senior technical voice in pre-sales: working alongside the commercial team to design winning solutions, shape tender responses, and give clients confidence from the first conversation.
- Drive continuous improvement across our systems, tools, and delivery methodologies — always looking for smarter ways to operate.
- Be the escalation point for complex technical challenges — the person the team turns to when something needs solving properly.
- Build and manage relationships with key technology partners and vendors, staying ahead of what's coming and making sure TenAV is positioned to benefit from it.
- Work across the Kubus Group to align technical standards and explore integration opportunities as the business scales.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, health & safety legislation, and best-practice installation guidelines.
What You'll Bring
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior technical AV role, with a strong background in commercial B2B integration environments.
- Deep, hands-on knowledge of the AV landscape — video conferencing ecosystems (Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms), AV control platforms (Q-SYS, Crestron, AMX), large-format display and LED wall technology, and unified communications infrastructure.
- Proven people leadership skills: you know how to get the best out of an engineering team, have difficult conversations when needed, and develop people over time.
- Commercial awareness — you understand that technical excellence and project profitability are not in conflict, and you operate accordingly.
- Strong communication skills across all levels: equally comfortable presenting a solution to a client's IT Director as you are troubleshooting on the tools with an engineer.
- Industry accreditations — CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I, CEDIA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Full, clean UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK.

Desirable (Nice to Have)
- Experience working within a managed services environment or alongside a service operations team.
- Familiarity with structured cabling, networking fundamentals, or physical infrastructure — useful as we integrate with the wider Kubus Group.
- Experience contributing to tender submissions or technical specification documents.
- Knowledge of relevant standards: ISO, BS EN, IPAF, PASMA, or similar.

- Salary: £60–70k DOE, reviewed annually by the Board, plus a discretionary performance bonus of up to 10%.
