About the Role

I am working with a well-respected UK client looking for someone to lead their technical team and provide strategic insight into the team.

They are looking for someone to provide strategic technical leadership for secure defense applications and maintain the technical architecture and roadmap for the software house.

You should be someone who has a good approach to modern engineering and emerging technologies.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Working alongside the head of delivery to ensure technical decisions and strategies are in line with the defense applications.
  • Working with the company to ensure the delivery of the applications is efficient
  • Key stakeholder engagement
  • Drive modern engineering practice
  • Exposure to AI, Data platforms and machine learning
  • Reduce strategic dependency
  • Translate business needs into coherent technical strategy.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Cloud, APIs, CI/CD, Automation and Platform engineering
  • Experience building and assessing technology investments
  • Managing technical risk, scalability and security
  • Stakeholder engagement experience
  • Ability to govern architecture and engineering practices
  • Government or highly regulated environment industry experience
  • Exposure to data platforms and machine learning
