The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join The Feel Good Group as Head of Technical — the engineering leadership role at the heart of the UK's biggest beauty and wellness retail brand.
With over 35 years' experience in the industry, The Feel Good Group has built a reputation for excellence across beauty, health and wellness retail. This is a rare chance for an experienced engineering leader to take ownership of the technical function across the entire group, shaping how the business installs, maintains and manages some of the most specialist equipment in the sector.
Role Purpose
The Head of Technical leads the engineering function for The Feel Good Group, running the engineering team and taking full responsibility for capital installation projects and day-to-day maintenance across all facilities and stores — from building fabric repairs through to the upkeep and annual servicing of specialist beauty and wellness equipment.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines people management, technical expertise, project delivery and commercial control of the engineering function, with a clear mandate to drive performance, reduce downtime and build a department fit for the future.
Team Leadership
- Lead, manage and develop the engineering team, comprising 4 field-based engineers covering the store network, and 1 office-based technical administrator.
- Set clear standards, targets and ways of working for the team, driving increased productivity and accountability.
- Design and build an apprenticeship scheme to develop future engineering talent, creating clear lines of succession through the department.
- Act as the technical escalation point for the engineering team and wider business on all equipment and facilities matters.
Capital Projects & Equipment Installation
- Own and run all capital installation projects across the group, including the specification, installation and commissioning of specialist equipment such as:
- Hyperbaric oxygen chambers
- Red light therapy beds
- Cryotherapy units
- Compression therapy equipment
- Pelvic floor chairs
- Altitude training equipment
- UV tanning beds (both lay-down and stand-up units)
- Spray Tanning machines
- Ensure every installation is delivered safely, on time and to specification, and that ongoing maintenance requirements are built in from day one.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
