Head of Technology
Remote (UK) | Monthly travel to the South Coast
£100,000–£120,000 + Bonus + Benefits
We’re partnering with a growing, technology-led organisation that is looking for an experienced Head of Technology to lead and develop its technology function.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a broad senior leadership role with responsibility for a team of up to 25 people across Software Engineering, IT, and technology operations.
You’ll take ownership of the technology strategy and roadmap, while also providing leadership across engineering, architecture, cloud, security, service delivery, and AI. The role will suit someone who is comfortable operating at both strategic and operational level and who can help scale the technology function as the business continues to grow.

- Leading and developing a multidisciplinary technology team of up to 25
- Driving engineering quality, delivery performance, and operational maturity
- Overseeing a modern technology stack including React, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript
- Leading the organisation’s ISO 27001 implementation through to certification
- Strengthening security, governance, risk, and compliance
- Overseeing an AWS cloud environment and modern cloud-native architecture
- Identifying and implementing practical AI opportunities across products, engineering, and internal operations
- Improving CI/CD, automation, DevOps, and software delivery practices
- Partnering with the CEO and senior leadership team on technology investment and strategy
Requirements
We’re looking for someone with previous experience in a senior technology leadership role such as Head of Technology, Head of Engineering, Engineering Director, or Technical Director. You’ll ideally bring a strong software engineering and architecture background, proven people leadership experience, solid AWS knowledge, and demonstrable experience delivering ISO 27001 certification. Experience implementing AI in a practical business environment will also be an important part of the role.

The organisation operates a remote-first culture, with the successful candidate travelling to the South Coast approximately once a month for leadership meetings and team collaboration.
