Head of Technology

Weybourne Group is the holding company for the Dyson technology company, Dyson Farming, and other diverse business interests. Outside the operating businesses, Weybourne manages an investment portfolio and provides financial and other professional support to the Dyson Family, their estates, and personal business interests. The group covers a wide range of sectors including farming, financial and commercial property investments and residential property.

The Head of Technology is the most senior technology leader in the business and is accountable for shaping and delivering the IT strategy for Weybourne Group and supported entities (together the “Group”). Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and business leaders across the Group, the role combines both strategic and operational leadership of the IT function with a forward-looking remit including but not limited to the harnessing of data, emerging technology (notably AI), and enhanced security for both internal transformation and shareholder value.

This is a pivotal appointment. The successful candidate will have a clear runway to define the Group’s future technology direction while ensuring the day-to-day IT services remain efficient, effective, secure, and aligned with Group priorities.

We offer you the opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking team where your contributions are valued and growth is encouraged.

Strategy, Innovation & AI

  • Define and execute the group’s long-term technology strategy, ensuring it is closely aligned to commercial priorities and the evolving needs of the Group.
  • Lead the Group’s adoption of emerging technologies - including AI, automation, and intelligent workflow tools - identifying where they create genuine value and ensuring the group moves at the right pace.
  • Collaborate with leaders across the Group as its collective voice on technology, scanning the market for trends, threats, and opportunities, and translating these into actionable recommendations for the business. Identify common themes across business-specific technology needs which should be expanded into broader, enterprise-wide priorities.
  • Set and manage the technology budget in line with the group’s strategic plan, ensuring spend is prioritised and value is demonstrable.

Data

  • Develop and lead the Group’s data strategy, ensuring data is treated as a strategic asset that supports better commercial and operational decision-making.
  • Improve data quality, governance, and accessibility across core systems, working closely with all businesses to align their operational priorities with the IT function’s enterprise-wide data strategy, processes and policies.
  • Build the foundations needed to support AI and analytics use cases - including data architecture, data classification, and the right tooling and skills across internal teams.
  • Champion a data-informed culture across the group, supporting Group leaders in using data to drive performance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
