Head of Technology – Microsoft AI Business Solutions
📍 UK or Ireland – flexible/remote
💰 £125,000–£140,000 + 15% bonus

WeDo Technology Solutions is working with one of the UK’s fastest-growing Microsoft practices to appoint a Head of Technology within its AI Business Solutions division.
This is a senior, market-facing technology leadership role covering Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Copilot Studio and agentic AI.
The practice currently has around 60 delivery professionals and is expected to grow into three figures. It works across major enterprise and public-sector transformation programmes, with ambitious plans to grow by 20–40% over the next few years.
They already have an experienced architecture and delivery community. What they need now is a natural technical leader who can bring everything together—setting direction, challenging decisions, strengthening delivery standards and representing the practice with customers and Microsoft.
The opportunity
You’ll be responsible for the technical direction and credibility of the practice, working closely with its sales, presales, delivery and architecture teams.
Around 65–70% of your initial focus will be supporting existing strategic customers, with the remainder covering new opportunities, presales and the relationship with Microsoft.
You won’t be embedded in the day-to-day delivery of one programme. Instead, you’ll provide senior oversight across several major accounts, stepping in where customers or delivery teams need direction, challenge or additional technical leadership.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading the technical strategy across Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Copilot Studio and the wider Microsoft AI ecosystem
- Providing leadership and direction to an experienced, rapidly growing architecture community
- Acting as an executive sponsor across strategic enterprise and public-sector accounts
- Helping customers make the right technology decisions and challenging them when a different direction would create a better outcome
- Supporting complex presales opportunities and bringing senior technical credibility into customer conversations
- Establishing architecture standards, governance, review boards and repeatable delivery practices
- Challenging technical assumptions, solution designs, estimates and delivery approaches
- Working closely with Microsoft’s UK, engineering and product teams
- Turning technical capability into stronger delivery outcomes and commercial growth
- Helping shape new propositions across AI for customer service, AI for operations, Copilot and agentic solutions
- Providing oversight across work delivered by internal teams and strategic partners

What they’re looking for
This role requires more than an experienced architect. You’ll need to combine genuine technical credibility with leadership, consulting and commercial awareness.
You’re likely to bring:
- Strong experience across Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform and the wider Business Applications ecosystem
- Credible knowledge of Copilot Studio, generative AI, agentic solutions or the direction Microsoft is taking AI Business Solutions
- Experience leading architects, technical teams or a technology capability
- Exposure to large, complex enterprise or public-sector transformation programmes
- The ability to influence senior customers and explain complex technology in a commercially relevant way
- Experience supporting presales, proposition development or account growth
- Strong architecture governance and delivery assurance experience
- An established understanding of the Microsoft partner ecosystem and ideally existing relationships within Microsoft
- Evidence of personally changing the direction or outcome of a customer programme—not simply being involved in it
- The ambition and energy to help scale a practice rather than make a sideways move

They are open to an established Head of Technology, Technology Director or Chief Architect. They will also consider an ambitious Enterprise Architect who is already operating beyond the boundaries of a traditional architecture role and is ready to step up.
This probably won’t suit someone who is purely sales-led, completely removed from technology or focused on a single Dynamics module. You must be able to earn the respect of senior architects while being equally comfortable in front of customers and commercial teams.
Package and location
- £125,000–£140,000 base salary, dependent on experience
- 15% annual bonus

- Flexible working with limited travel, typically a couple of customer or leadership meetings each month
- Active SC clearance isn’t required, although being eligible for clearance would be beneficial
