Head of Technology Operations
Lead the Technology That Powers a More Sustainable Future
At enfinium, technology is critical to keeping our operations safe, secure and running around the clock.
As one of the UK's leading energy-from-waste businesses, we're investing heavily in our technology capabilities and looking for an exceptional Head of Technology Operations to lead the next phase of our journey.
This is a rare opportunity to shape and modernise a Technology Operations function supporting critical national infrastructure. You'll lead service delivery across applications, cloud, infrastructure, cyber security, networks, collaboration and end-user services, whilst driving automation, AI adoption and operational excellence across the business.
Working closely with the IT Director and Technology Leadership Team, you'll play a pivotal role in transforming how technology is delivered, operated and experienced across enfinium.
What You'll Do
- Lead the performance, reliability and continuous improvement of all Technology Operations services.
- Build and develop a high-performing team across infrastructure, cloud, service management and support.
- Drive automation, AI and modern operational practices to improve efficiency and service quality.
- Own service delivery, incident management, change, resilience and operational governance.
- Partner with Cyber Security teams to strengthen operational security and compliance.
- Manage strategic technology suppliers and managed service partners.
- Contribute to technology strategy and help shape the future operating model for IT at enfinium.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for a modern technology leader who combines operational excellence with a passion for transformation.
You'll bring:
- Significant experience leading Technology Operations, Infrastructure or Service Delivery teams.
- A track record of driving operational transformation and organisational change.
- Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, infrastructure, service management and operational resilience.
- Experience implementing automation, DevOps, platform engineering or AI-enabled solutions.
- The ability to lead, inspire and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
Bonus Points For
- Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 expertise.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD and automation platforms.
- Knowledge of Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO27001 and modern security practices.
- Experience supporting operational technology (OT) or industrial environments.
- Exposure to Microsoft Copilot, AI technologies and intelligent automation.
