Harvey Nash has been at the heart of technology recruitment for over 35 years. We work with some of the most ambitious technology businesses in the market, from high-growth organisations through to global enterprises.
We’re now looking for someone to take our Technology Specialisms business in Scotland to its next stage of growth.
And this isn’t a case of inheriting a struggling desk and being asked to turn it around. You will be stepping into an established, successful business with a strong team already in place while having the opportunity to build our private sector contract offering from the ground up.
You will have the platform, clients and people around you, but the freedom to decide where we go next.
The opportunity:
You will take responsibility for the growth of our Technology Specialisms business across Scotland, balancing leadership and strategy with being close enough to the market to make things happen.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Lead and grow our established permanent Technology recruitment team
- Build a new private sector Contracts division and shape how we take it to market
- Win new business and develop long-term relationships with senior technology leaders
- Grow our presence across Software Engineering, Data & Analytics, Cloud & Infrastructure, Cyber Security, Architecture, Technology Leadership and Projects & Change
- Coach, mentor and develop a high-performing team
- Work alongside the Head of Scotland to shape the wider Technology strategy
- Play a key role in the continued growth and direction of Harvey Nash in Scotland

This is a hands-on leadership role. We’re looking for someone who enjoys leading from the front, whether that means developing a consultant, opening a new client relationship or getting stuck into the market themselves.
Who are we looking for?
You might already be a Head of Technology, Team Lead, Billing Manager or established recruitment leader. Or you could be a high-performing Principal Consultant who has reached the point where you’re ready for your first genuine leadership opportunity.
What matters most is your ability to build relationships, win business, develop people and spot opportunities.
You will ideally bring:
- Strong experience within Technology recruitment
- A strong track record of personal billings
- A track record across Permanent, Contract or both
- Proven commercial success and confidence winning new business
- A genuine interest in coaching and developing others
- The ambition to take ownership rather than simply manage an existing desk
