About Crane
Crane is the global inception-to-seed platform for synthesist founders.
We back extraordinary founders from the very beginning, wherever they are in the world, who bring together ideas, technologies and disciplines in unexpected ways to build the companies that shape the future, and what comes next.
At Crane, we are first to believe and last to leave. We stay alongside founders as they turn an idea into a company, a company into a category, and early conviction into something enduring.
The Opportunity
The Head of the Crane Network will build and activate an extraordinary global network around Crane and its founders.
A critical part of Crane's Founder Value team, you will connect founders to the customers, executives, operators, advisors, and strategic partners who can materially accelerate their companies.
This is a senior global leadership role for someone with the reputation, judgment and relationships to engage credibly with leading founders, Fortune 500 executives, technology leaders across the United States and Europe, and increasingly APAC, India and beyond.
The successful candidate will bring significant existing relationship capital, particularly in San Francisco and Silicon Valley, while continuing to build Crane's reach across the world's most important technology ecosystems.
How You Will Create Impact
Build and Activate Crane's Global Network
Develop a highly curated global network across North America, Europe, APAC, India and beyond.
Build and deepen senior relationships with founders and CEOs, Fortune 500 executives, enterprise technology buyers, operators, board members, and influential leaders across technology and business. Represent Crane with humility, authority, discretion and credibility. Look beyond the obvious institutions, relationships and geographies to identify extraordinary people and bring them into the Crane community.
Create Material Outcomes for Founders
Turn relationships into meaningful company outcomes.
Help founders access:
- Enterprise customers and design partners.
- Strategic partnerships.
- Senior advisors and board candidates.
- Executive talent.
- Geographic expansion opportunities.
- Market and industry expertise.
- Experienced founders and peer perspectives.
Connect Crane's Global Ecosystem
Play a central role in strengthening Crane's relationships in the United States, with particular emphasis on New York, San Francisco and Silicon Valley.
Bring equally strong credibility and relationships across the UK and European technology landscape.
Connect European founders to U.S. customers, executives and investors. Bring U.S. leaders into Crane's European ecosystem. Build bridges across APAC, India and other emerging technology centers.
Help make Crane one genuinely global platform rather than a collection of regional networks.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Advise Founders and Sharpen the Ask
Work directly with founders and CEOs to understand their most important commercial, strategic and relationship needs.
Help determine where Crane's network can genuinely make a difference, who should be involved and what outcome we are trying to create.
Challenge a founder's thinking when needed, improve the quality of the ask and make sure founders are prepared before important relationships are activated.
Know the difference between an impressive introduction and a useful one, and when the right answer isn't another introduction at all.
Convene the People Who Matter
Play a critical role in Crane's most important global gatherings and executive experiences, including Crane Festival, founder and CEO engagements, executive roundtables, industry councils, operator gatherings and regional programs.
These aren't events for events' sake.
They are opportunities to create conversations, relationships and opportunities that would not otherwise happen.
Help determine who should be in the room, why bringing them together matters and what should result.

Connected Across the UK and Europe

You understand that founders, markets, customers, talent and capital increasingly operate across borders.
You are culturally fluent, internationally experienced and comfortable representing Crane around the world.
Executive Credibility & High EQ
You can host a private CEO dinner, engage a Fortune 500 executive, advise an early-stage founder and represent Crane in important external settings.
You are confident without being performative, build trust quickly and understand how to develop relationships without making them feel transactional.
Commercial and Strategic Judgment
You understand how early-stage companies grow and how relationships can accelerate that growth.
You can quickly assess whether a prospective customer, partner, advisor, executive or investor is genuinely relevant to a founder's priorities.
You know when to make an introduction, and when not to.
Technology and Venture Fluency
You understand early-stage technology companies, enterprise software and the venture ecosystem.
You can engage credibly with deeply technical founders working across AI, infrastructure, semiconductors, developer technologies, enterprise systems and other foundational technologies.
You don't need to be a technical specialist. You do need to be intellectually curious about the technologies shaping what comes next.
Builder and Leader
You can build a function, not simply operate a network.
You can turn individual relationships into an enduring Crane capability while preserving the personal trust that makes those relationships valuable.
