Head of UK Trade Aftermarket

Salary to attract the best + Bonus + Car Allowance + Benefits
UK Based / National Travel

Are you a commercially astute sales leader with deep experience in the automotive aftermarket? Do you have the credibility, network and leadership capability to drive growth across a major aftermarket channel while leading and developing a high-performing team?

Our client is a market-leading manufacturer and supplier of automotive products, serving customers across trade, specialist, retail and ecommerce channels. Backed by the strength and resources of a major international group, the business enjoys an enviable reputation for quality, innovation and customer service and is looking to appoint a Head of UK Trade Aftermarket to lead a strategically important part of the organisation.

Reporting directly to the Sales Director, you will take full responsibility for the UK aftermarket business unit, leading a team of sales professionals and driving profitable growth across a portfolio of key trade customers, distributors, buying groups, independent motor factors and specialist accounts. You will develop and execute the commercial strategy, strengthen customer relationships, negotiate key commercial agreements and ensure the business is well positioned to capitalise on future opportunities.

This is a highly visible leadership role requiring a strategic thinker who remains hands-on, enjoys building customer relationships and has the commercial acumen to deliver sustainable growth. You will be responsible for forecasting, planning, team development, customer retention and overall business performance.

To be successful, you will demonstrate:

  • Proven success in automotive trade aftermarket sales.
  • An established network across motor factors, distributors, buying groups and specialist aftermarket channels.
  • Experience leading and developing successful sales teams.
  • Strong commercial and P&L management capability.
  • Excellent negotiation, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • A structured, strategic and disciplined approach to customer and business development.
  • The ability to inspire confidence internally and externally whilst driving accountability and results.
