Citi Treasury and Trade Solutions Group provides the industry's most comprehensive suite of treasury and trade solutions, including cash management, Trade and Working Capital Solutions, and commercial card programs and services.
Role Overview
The role is responsible for leading the Trade and Working Capital Solutions Technology organization and is part of the TTS Technology Senior Management Team (SMT) and Trade and Working Capital Solutions Executive committee.
The role will be driving and executing the TTS Trade and Working Capital Technology strategy, architecture, and execution, mainly focused on growth, digitization, and transformation, delivering scalability, risk reduction, and providing enriched client experience in a timely manner.
Team and Client Base
Trade and Working Capital Solutions technology is a team of over 800 engineers, servicing needs of the TTS client base across 90+ countries and processing an average of 1.5MM transactions per month.
As we continue to grow and evolve, there is a strong mandate to ensure the provision of world-class technology solutions, an inclusive and innovation operating environment in partnership with clients and Fintechs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the Technology strategy and Architecture enabling the TTS Trade and Working Capital Product and Sales strategy, with focus on the digitization of the business.
- Drive transformation, define and agree target state architecture aligned with the overall organization, and modernize legacy systems using a new cutting-edge technology stack.
- Provide strategic direction and daily oversight to ensure technology delivery, alignment of resources with business requirements, and at the same time ensure an effective compliance environment through a robust control, compliance, and governance platform.
- Improve the cross-product architecture and technology stack across the group by driving more modern development methods, including Continuous Integration-Continuous Delivery, DevOps, and Agile development.
- Influence and negotiate with great latitude on outcomes; involved in both internal and external negotiations which will have a major impact on the area managed and possibly on other related areas and the organization.
- Develop an efficient target operating model and multiyear roadmap in conjunction with operations and Product to enable business growth, support scale, and de-risk the environment.
- Drive competitive advantage by further improving Client Experience through client coverage and shortened client cycle times, including expanding digital on-boarding and speed of client inquiry resolution.
- Deliver on all transformation and consent order goals and targets in accordance with commitments to our various regulators.
- Establish robust management governance processes to manage the health of the organization, as evidenced by the metrics tracked in the 4 pillars of the Corporate Scorecard (Financial, Leadership, Client/Franchise, Risk & Controls).
- Strengthen the regulatory relationship through focused execution of key regulatory programs (e.g. data, operational resiliency, consent order) and timely closure of Issues/Issues/CAPs/MRAs/BSER breaks.
- Lead strong team effectiveness strategies focused on core skill building and performance management, to develop, retain, and promote top talent.

Person Specification
Knowledge/ Experience
- Significant experience in technology leadership for Financial Services preferably in Transaction Banking.
- Demonstrated skills in developing and executing Target State Architecture and designs strategies in technology transformation programs.
- Established and built trust with professionals throughout the business and IT as a leader, an advisor, and a business partner to the organization with a clear customer orientation.
- Demonstrate deep technical expertise and business knowledge and be known within the industry for their experience and track record.
- Demonstrate progression from a highly technical background, with deep knowledge of software development process and practices along with deep knowledge of architecture, complex systems, and other key technology areas.
- It is also vitally important that this individual can balance the need to provide world-class technology solutions with the ability to tightly manage costs and ensure clear value and return on any investments.
- A strong awareness of both external and internal best practice perspectives, maintaining a balanced and fresh viewpoint.
- Significant energy and ability to function in an intense environment demonstrating initiative and operating with an “owner-minded” attitude.
- A result-driven manner, determined to achieve agreed goals, demonstrating significant decision-making capacity.
