Head of Transactional Finance
Location: Hertfordshire (Hybrid)
Salary: £75-85k DOE
A leading business is looking for an experienced Head of Transactional Finance to lead and transform its high-volume finance operations. This is a key leadership role, responsible for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing and Collections, driving operational excellence, process improvement and automation across the function. This opportunity would suit a proven finance leader with experience managing large teams, delivering finance transformation projects and supporting ERP implementations within a fast-paced environment.

The Role:

- Lead and develop a large transactional finance team across AP, AR, Billing and Collections
- Drive continuous improvement, automation and efficiencies across finance processes
- Strengthen financial controls, governance and audit readiness
- Improve cash flow performance, collections and working capital metrics
- Develop and monitor key operational KPIs, providing insights to senior stakeholders
- Build strong relationships across Finance, IT, HR, Procurement and Operations
Candidate Profile:
- Significant experience leading high-volume transactional finance teams
- Strong knowledge of AP, AR, Billing, Collections, General Ledger accounting and financial controls
- Experience managing and developing teams of 20+ staff
- A track record of delivering process improvement, automation and finance transformation projects
- Experience supporting or leading ERP implementations
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills
- The ability to influence change and drive continuous improvement across the business
- AAT, ACCA, CIMA OR qualified by experience
