Are you an experienced finance leader looking for a role where you can shape how transactional finance, finance systems and treasury work together? Do you enjoy balancing the bigger picture with the detail, while finding smarter ways of working and developing the people around you? If yes, our Head of Transactional Services position might be the right next move for you.
This is a 6 month Fixed Term Contract.
Your Purpose
As our Head of Transactional Finance, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering our Financial Control agenda, leading our transactional services team across accounts payable and transactional revenue, while overseeing our finance systems agenda and operational treasury requirements. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you’ll lead and develop three direct reports and work closely with teams across Finance and IT to make sure our systems, processes and controls deliver for the wider business.
This is a role where you can make a real impact. From driving automation and process improvements to shaping the roadmap for our finance systems, strengthening controls and ensuring we manage cash and working capital effectively, you’ll have the opportunity to influence how we operate today while helping us build for the future. You’ll bring broad experience across transactional finance and finance systems, with the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders, think strategically and get into the detail when it matters.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
