Treasurer

Luton | £120,000–£150,000 + benefits

We are partnering with a highly respected and well-established organisation to appoint a Treasurer to lead and develop its treasury function.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced treasury professional who can provide strategic direction while maintaining strong control, governance and commercial focus across the organisation.

The Role

Reporting to senior leadership, the Treasurer will take ownership of the organisation’s treasury strategy and lead a high-performing treasury function.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing the overall treasury strategy.
  • Leading and developing the treasury team and function.
  • Managing group liquidity, cash forecasting and working capital.
  • Overseeing funding, debt facilities and capital structure.
  • Managing foreign exchange and interest-rate risk.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
  • Providing strategic advice to senior management on liquidity, funding and financial risk.
  • Ensuring robust treasury governance, controls, policies and reporting.
  • Leading treasury transformation and identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and efficiency.
  • Supporting major corporate, investment and financing initiatives where required.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant policies, regulations and banking requirements.

About You

We are looking for an established treasury leader with significant experience operating in a complex corporate environment. You will ideally have:

  • Extensive senior-level treasury experience, gained within a sizeable or complex organisation.
  • Proven experience leading a treasury function and developing people.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate funding, liquidity, FX and interest-rate risk management.
  • Experience managing banking relationships and negotiating financing facilities.
  • Strong commercial and strategic thinking, combined with excellent technical treasury knowledge.
  • The confidence and communication skills to influence senior stakeholders and work closely with the wider finance leadership team.
  • A track record of improving treasury processes, controls and systems.
  • A relevant professional qualification such as AMCT, ACA, ACCA or equivalent experience.
